Kosher scandal- ORB Florida Kosher
1- None of the current Glatt shechita’s certifiers allow non- broiled poultry hearts or livers to be sold to the retail market.
2- At the Aroma kosher supermarket in Boca Raton, Florida, kosher certified by the ORB of Florida they do sell non-broiled chicken hearts (we did not check about non-broiled livers).
3- The package on the shelf states that it’s OU-Glatt. The OU says that is unauthorized, as they do not allow any non-broiled hearts or livers to be sold in the retail market.
4- The package states “must be kashered”. To an average consumer that means, soaking, salting, rinse.
5- Hearts must be “Broiled”, so standard Kashering is unacceptable.
6- The pack date box is blank, the sell by date is 5/08/2020. We were there on the 5/7/2020. Therefore, it was there more than 3 days, so the package should have also indicated, “should not be cooked after broiling”.
7- We don’t know if the hearts were from any kosher certifier as the Aroma super-market, when questioned, management said they don’t know the brand nor the Hashgocha of the hearts.
8- We wanted to talk to the Mashgiach (if there is one). The Aroma store will not reveal the contact information for their Mashgiach. If there is a mashgiach, he’s definitely not in charge and his competency is questionable at best.
9- The ORB kosher certifier only responded that after the OU contacted the ORB, they notified all stores that they can’t sell any raw Hearts or livers on the retail market.
10- The distributor says they haven’t had any poultry hearts from before pesach (April 1, 2020).
11- The Hearts at Aroma on May 7th were very fresh looking to me, not 6+ weeks old. Where did Aroma get those hearts?
12- I question the source of the hearts at Aroma as there was no blood leakage at all in package, which is usually an indicator of a non-kosher kill which electrocutes prior to kill.
13- We also asked the ORB (by email) for more information re: above issues, they refuse to respond.
14- We also asked, “what are the ORB standards re: checking for infestation”, the ORB refused to respond.
15- We did observe many of the produce items that were certified by the ORB as clean from infestation. We were very dissatisfied with the end result of the ORB certified pre-checked produce. More on this another time.
16- There is no longer a “kosher enforcement bureau” in Florida, we tried reaching out to the Consumer fraud division.
I think that if we would ask the ORB “what is the RED-LINE in kashrus that they will not cross”? they will respond “we are color-blind” so there are no red lines. All for the Franklins.
We may have brewing another Shevach/Finkel, Doheny, Netzach, King David, Gough in Manchester & Liverpool (Europe), Queens and Flatbush situations.
When a store or a hashgocha refuses to respond to serious questions, standards, mashgiach, etc. we know we have serious kashrus issues.
At this time, we would not rely on the Florida ORB in their butcher departments and their pre-checked produce. What about their other hashgochas? It’s Russian Roulette.

Now that many states have announced that they will reopen businesses and commerce, houses of worship nationwide are also gradually taking steps to resume in-person services.
During this reopening phase, First Liberty continues to be the leader in victories for churches, religious leaders and faith-based organizations. In fact, throughout the current pandemic, our legal team has had an unparalleled 100% win-rate.
Today, we’re happy to report that our attorneys secured another two incredible victories to ensure state governors don’t intrude upon freedoms or violate the constitutional right of churches and religious Americans to live out their faith.
Second Kentucky Victory: Reclaiming Right of Churches to Hold In-Person Services
Last week, First Liberty won a second victory in the state of Kentucky, this time on behalf of Tabernacle Baptist Church (TBC) of Nicholasville, challenging Governor Andy Beshear’s executive orders that prohibit in-person church services and threaten criminal penalties.
At a recent hearing, a federal judge issued a decision allowing mass gatherings with respect to any in-person religious service, as long as the people gathered comply with social distancing and hygiene guidelines.
This is yet another pioneering win for religious freedom during the COVID-19 crisis, as it marks the first legal victory setting a precedent and federal statewide injunction to protect the right of churches and people of faith to resume gathering in-person.
Our most recent triumph in Kentucky comes only a few weeks after First Liberty attorneys secured a victory for On Fire Christian Church in the city of Louisville. By helping that congregation reclaim its right to host CDC compliant drive-in church services, this became the seminal and first major legal triumph in defense of churches and religious liberty during the current health crisis.
Indeed, our Louisville victory became the “first case heard across the country”—making it clear that permanent restrictions on religious freedom will never be tolerated as long as First Liberty has anything to say about it.

Kosher scandal- ORB Florida Kosher
1- None of the current Glatt shechita’s certifiers allow non- broiled poultry hearts or livers to be sold to the retail market.
2- At the Aroma kosher supermarket in Boca Raton, Florida, kosher certified by the ORB of Florida they do sell non-broiled chicken hearts (we did not check about non-broiled livers).
3- The package on the shelf states that it’s OU-Glatt. The OU says that is unauthorized, as they do not allow any non-broiled hearts or livers to be sold in the retail market.
4- The package states “must be kashered”. To an average consumer that means, soaking, salting, rinse.
5- Hearts must be “Broiled”, so standard Kashering is unacceptable.
6- The pack date box is blank, the sell by date is 5/08/2020. We were there on the 5/7/2020. Therefore, it was there more than 3 days, so the package should have also indicated, “should not be cooked after broiling”.
7- We don’t know if the hearts were from any kosher certifier as the Aroma super-market, when questioned, management said they don’t know the brand nor the Hashgocha of the hearts.
8- We wanted to talk to the Mashgiach (if there is one). The Aroma store will not reveal the contact information for their Mashgiach. If there is a mashgiach, he’s definitely not in charge and his competency is questionable at best.
9- The ORB kosher certifier only responded that after the OU contacted the ORB, they notified all stores that they can’t sell any raw Hearts or livers on the retail market.
10- The distributor says they haven’t had any poultry hearts from before pesach (April 1, 2020).
11- The Hearts at Aroma on May 7th were very fresh looking to me, not 6+ weeks old. Where did Aroma get those hearts?
12- I question the source of the hearts at Aroma as there was no blood leakage at all in package, which is usually an indicator of a non-kosher kill which electrocutes prior to kill.
13- We also asked the ORB (by email) for more information re: above issues, they refuse to respond.
14- We also asked, “what are the ORB standards re: checking for infestation”, the ORB refused to respond.
15- We did observe many of the produce items that were certified by the ORB as clean from infestation. We were very dissatisfied with the end result of the ORB certified pre-checked produce. More on this another time.
16- There is no longer a “kosher enforcement bureau” in Florida, we tried reaching out to the Consumer fraud division.
I think that if we would ask the ORB “what is the RED-LINE in kashrus that they will not cross”? they will respond “we are color-blind” so there are no red lines. All for the Franklins.
We may have brewing another Shevach/Finkel, Doheny, Netzach, King David, Gough in Manchester & Liverpool (Europe), Queens and Flatbush situations.
When a store or a hashgocha refuses to respond to serious questions, standards, mashgiach, etc. we know we have serious kashrus issues.
At this time, we would not rely on the Florida ORB in their butcher departments and their pre-checked produce. What about their other hashgochas? It’s Russian Roulette.

Did Rabbi Pesach Weitz leave ORB for kashrus violations, or was he just pushed out before it’s revealed what ORB is for the Educated kosher consumer.

UPDATE: Re: Tarnogol chicken- one Must kasher utensils if you cooked the Tarnogol
Bishaim Rav Moshe Shternbuch & Reb Moshe Brandsdrfer, one must kasher keilim if they use the "Tarnogol breed".Rav Shmuel Wosner, Z"L "assered" the Kabir chicken because of no Mesorah. His Talmidim say that he definitely without the slightest doubt would have "asered" the "Tarnogol".
FYI- The ones that are matir the non-kosher Tarnogol are the ones that sell their Neshoma for a few kopeks. R"L.

Kosher Scandal- Florida's ORB Kosher- OU notice
IMPORTANT NOTICE
I would like to reiterate that the OU policy regarding all types of meat and poultry, including livers and hearts, is that these are not certified by the OU unless they have been kashered in accordance with halacha.
If you have a commercial customer who has approved facilities for kashering livers, and has a mashgiach who is knowledgeable and proficient in the method of kashering, approval may be given by contacting myself on 347-419-0982.
Absolutely no exceptions will be made for vendors selling hearts, livers, or any other types of meat to retail customers.
Meat or poultry, which has not been kashered, bearing the OU symbol, will be considered trademark infringement.

They are very careful with נטילת ידים where "one-hand, washes the other hand". That's the Kashrus "motto" all over the world.
It's very interesting that one name (in Monsey) always pops up at the forefront of all of their scandals;
1-He did not allow a letter by Rabbonim to be posted re: the kashrus scandals at KYO restaurant.
2- He did not let the Rabbonim challenge the "unqualified" Shatnez tester in Monsey.
When the heat was on the Monsey shatnez tester, the shatnez tester went to Eretz Yisroel and Bnei Brak & Yerushalaim shatnez labs told him he does not know Shatnez. He decided to go out of shatnez testing, till this individual convinced him to keep on being Mach'shil people in Shatnez.
3- After the Shevach treif episode, the Rav Hamac'shir decided to leave kashrus, this individual convinced him to continue certifying kashrus.
4- Etc. There are much more.
5- Now he's with the Eiruv and kashrus scandal. He will make sure they allow the kashrus to remain as is (he doesn't care) as long as he gets his Eiruv $$$$. Yes it's in the Community Connections this week -3 pages in color.
We should all do some investigating as to the truth "what he is about".

The underlying problem with Monsey area kashrus is a Monsey based Organization
מבקשי כשרות formed soon after the Shevach/Finkel kashrus scandal.
They are so wet behind the ears in knowing basic kashrus. Their Mashgichim are clue-less to put it mildly.
They say now that they will work with Steinmetz's Hashgocha to upgrade his hashgocha, BTW- Today is not April fools day.😅
They are FAKE - KASHRUS,
Where were they for the last 10+ years?
