don't rely on the KCL!
Lakewood hand matzos from Eretz Yisroel that has a total of one of their own mashgichim be there and they call it חבורה Matzos. The reason for the advantage of מצות חבורה is that there are additional people to do all of the extras that the bakery normally doesn't do. One mashgiach extra and it suddenly becomes a מצות חבורה? KCL says, Lakewood Oilum is not makpid.
The Matzos say "special mashgiach that checks for כפולות". It seems the mashgiach makes sure that every box has plenty of כפולות. KCL says, Lakewood Oilum is not makpid.
A Hand matzah bakery that will bake up to 22 minutes (claiming that all after 18 minutes it's put away for the Chabad people) which turned to have gotten into the regular matzos and to the Chaburah matzos as well. KCL says, Lakewood Oilum isn't makpid. They did not kasher the ovens after those 22 minute matzos. KCL says, Lakewood Oilum is not makpid.
They also make the Oat Matzos, that is very secretive how they get rid of the bitter enzyme without steaming (which may be a shailah of chometz), they don't kasher the bakery after the oat matzah production & they don't notify anyone that they produced Oat mazos. KCL says, the Lakewood Oilum isn't makpid.
All year round bakeries in Lakewood under KCL pretends that they don't use any "farkoifteh" (sold) chometz, when in fact they have freezers full with sold chometz. KCL says, Lakewood Oilum is not makpid.
Re: Being makpid on Yoshon, a very big tzibur in Lakewood (more so than in any other place in the diaspora) tries to be makpid on Yoshon. The Tzibur is under the false assumption that the restaurants, caterers, etc are all makpid on Yoshon, the cold facts are they are not in fact "yoshon". When the KCL is asked shockingly, you don't give hashgocha on yoshon also? KCL says, Lakewood Oilum is not makpid.
